In 1991, The Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation (VVAF) co-founded the International Campaign to Ban Landmines.  It has won the Nobel Peace Prize and has the support of 40 countries.  They also help landmine victims acheive independence by providing wheelchairs, prosthetics, crutches, and jobs.  Mary Chapin sang at a concert to benefit this organization along with many other artists.

Environment

The Songbird Foundation

The latest craze in coffee-growing is sun-grown coffee which destroys habitats for songbirds. The coffee from shade-grown beans tastes better and saves their habitat. Make an easy donation by just purchasing some coffee at Starbucks. (Mary Chapin's favorite coffee shop!)
