Who is John Jennings?
You might not have heard of John Jennings...but if you've listened to a Mary Chapin Carpenter tune, you've heard his musicianship. Jennings plays guitar on nearly all of Carpenter's tunes...serves as her band leader on the road...co-produces her albums...and even co-wrote her hits "You Never Had It So Good" and "Going Out Tonight."
Jennings is taking steps to establish himself as a singer and songwriter in his own right with the release next month of his album...` "I Belong To You."
While his sound is hard to compartmentalize, Jennings hopes his music finds an audience. He tells Billboard magazine - "I feel very much like Chapin in this regard. I just want people to hear it...and they can sort it out after that."
